I've made absolutely no progress. Thought I'd share that with you guys. Oh and flash is really pissing me off. You know, like a bad relationship.

I think I've decided that instead of creating everything in Flash, that I'd do a ton of it by hand (media/content limitation = hand-drawn/found objects etc.), import that into flash, and do super basic manipulations.
It takes a bunch of the pressure off. Although, my weekend is still condemned to working on this project.

oh Alex, I hear ya man!! I want to shoot Flash in the face... yes, I just personified Flash.. and it's going to die!
